How to Save Trading History

Saving your trading history allows you to perform trade reviews, performance analysis, and strategy optimization, making it an essential part of disciplined trading.
Procedure
Step 1: Access the Account History Tab

- Open MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5), and navigate to the “Account History” tab located at the bottom of the platform.
- Here, you can view all closed trades and historical account activity.
Step 2: Select Export Option
Within the “Account History” tab:

- Right-click on any trade record
- Choose one of the following options:
- “Save as Report” (Summary Report), or
- “Save as Detailed Report”
It is recommended to select Detailed Report for more comprehensive data analysis.
Step 3: Save the File
In the save dialog window:
- Choose your preferred file location
- Enter a file name (if necessary)
- Click “Save” to export the report
The report is typically saved in HTML format, which can be opened in any web browser.
Important Notes
- Ensure the correct date range is selected (e.g., “All History” or a custom period).
- Exported reports contain sensitive account data—please store them securely.
- It is recommended to regularly export your trading history for ongoing performance tracking and review.
