How to Use VPS

FP Markets VPS supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, enabling forex traders to run automated trading strategies, including EAs (Expert Advisors). Using a VPS minimizes the risk of trade disruptions due to downtime, internet issues, or Windows server problems.
Steps to Access VPS
Step 1: Check Your Account Information
Locate the following information in the email you received:
- Main IP address
- Port number
- Username
- Password
Step 2: Log in to VPS
There are two login methods:
Method 1: Using the RDP File
- Click the link in your email to download the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) file.
- Double-click the downloaded RDP file; the system will prompt for your username and password.
- Enter the account information provided in your email to log in.
Method 2: Using Remote Desktop Connection Directly
- Open Windows Remote Desktop Connection (Start → All Programs → Accessories → Remote Desktop Connection).
- Enter the main IP address in the “Computer” field.
- Click “Connect” and enter your username and password when prompted.
Step 3: Access VPS and Launch the Trading Platform
- After a successful connection, you will see the VPS desktop.
- Locate the installed trading platform (MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5).
- Log in with your trading account credentials to configure and run your trading strategies.
- For further assistance, contact our online customer support or refer to the instruction file in your email.
Important Notes
- Service Fee: Free
- Service Termination: VPS access will be automatically terminated the following month if account balance or trading volume requirements are not met
